What an epoxy countertop is
An epoxy countertop is a thick layer of clear and tinted resin poured over your existing counter, or over a new base. While it is wet, we add color, veins and metallic effects by hand. When it cures, you get a seamless, glossy surface that can look like marble, granite, quartz or something completely unique.
Because we usually pour over your existing counters, there is no demolition, and the job costs a fraction of new stone.

Our process
- Prep. We clean and sand the old counter, fill seams and repair chips.
- Protect. We mask cabinets, walls, floors and appliances.
- Prime. A primer coat helps the epoxy bond and hides the old color.
- Pour. We pour and work in colors and veins.
- Finish. After curing, we trim edges and apply a final clear coat if needed.
Most kitchens take two to three days, including cure time.
Is epoxy durable?
Epoxy is hard and water resistant, and it holds up well to daily use. It is not as heat resistant as stone, so you should use trivets for hot pans. Use cutting boards, as knives can scratch it. Light scratches can be buffed out.
Sun and outdoor counters
Standard epoxy can yellow in direct sun. For outdoor kitchens and bars, we only pour under a covered patio, and we use a UV-resistant topcoat. If your outdoor kitchen is in full sun, we may recommend a different surface.
Caring for your countertop
Clean with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scrub pads. Wipe up spills like wine and coffee quickly. Use trivets and cutting boards.

Kitchens in newer homes
Many homes built in Beaumont over the last two decades came with builder-grade laminate or tile counters. They work, but they look dated, and grout lines on tile counters are hard to keep clean. An epoxy pour is one of the fastest ways to update those kitchens without tearing anything out. We fill the grout lines, level the surface and pour a seamless top that changes the whole feel of the room. Paired with painted cabinets and new hardware, it can make a builder kitchen look custom.
Rental owners like epoxy for the same reason. It refreshes a unit between tenants without the cost or downtime of new stone, and if a spot gets damaged later, it can be sanded and recoated.
Edges and details
The edge of a counter is where the work shows. We can finish edges with a soft drip line, a straight square edge or a rounded profile, depending on the look you want and the shape of the old counter. Around sinks, we seal carefully so water does not get under the epoxy. Backsplashes can be coated to match, or left as tile for contrast. We talk through every detail before the pour, because once the epoxy is curing, there is no going back.
Planning your kitchen downtime
You will not be able to use the counter while the epoxy cures, so we help you plan. Many families set up a small prep area in the dining room or on a folding table for a couple of days. We pour in a single session so the surface is seamless, and we vent the space during curing. The smell is mild with the products we use, and it fades quickly.
